THE CRAIC PACK
STORY
It all began when
we, seven directionless layabouts, came together one day at a
social welfare office and in the spirit of
permanent job avoidance, conjured a magnificent plan to take over the
world.
We decided to create Dublin's newest
and bestest comedy improv group,
The Craic Pack and the bestest funniest
weekly shows,
Improv@Bankers.
Alan, The Bankers Pub manager offered to let us live in the basement and
the rest is history!!!

Dermot Byrne
Dermot is on the run from
the banana circus, so prefers not to reveal his identity in public. If you see a
man-sized yellow slippery thing running around on stage in the Bankers on a
Friday, be warned because it is most likely the runaway squeeze. When he relaxes
Dermot likes to knit and hopes one day to finish his multi-vegetated scarf to
cover the Luas railway line in winter.... what a trouper!!
Peter Byrne
As the eldest member of the group Peter
likes to think he gives the group an air of modest sophistication, dignity and a
certain panash. While he lives the life of a struggling actor, one step away
from super-stardom, he works his craft through improvised comedy in the Bankers
pub on a Friday night keeping true to the Stanislavski method of "You must fail
before you can succeed". He fears his extensive ability is over-qualified for
the job but would rather not discuss it. Peter runs the weekly stand-up comedy
club,
Stand-Up@Bankers which takes place every
Saturday night at 9pm at The Bankers Bar- for further details check out

Danny Kehoe
Danny
was captured by Bread-men obsessed with faces the demanded he make them laugh.
He made them laugh so hard that they reverted to dough. He ran away with the
cash and has been earning his crust ever since as a comedian.
Sharon Mannion
Sharon
won a gold medal in the community games knitting competition and from that has
had people in knots. She is a bit woolly about how she got into The Craic Pack
but when it unravels I'm sure it'll be an interesting story.
Rachel
Rath
As a self-confessed compulsive liar, Rachel Rath is an expert improviser. She has used her powers of deception to worm her
way into the confidences of the The Craic Pack
troupe. They are sadly unaware that she is using them as pawns in her fiendishly
devilish plan to take over the world ( in comedic terms of course). All monetary
gain she benefits from the show goes towards Rachel's fund to purchase a
submarine. To find out more visit

Niamh Shaw
Legend has it that it all began when Niamh,
in her travelling caravan of scientific paraphernalia, met with Stephen
and Peter at the Red Cow roundabout convincing her that a heady mix of
hot soup and sulphuric acid awaited her in the Bankers pub if she agreed to join. Disillusioned with roadside laboratory analysis she
quickly agreed, and now happily lives in the vault toilets of the pub with the
other group members. Niamh has been involved in improvisation for many years but
has focussed her attentions more towards comedy improv and stand-up in the past 2 years
working with The Craic Pack and Snatch!, a Cork-based
comedy improv group. She admits to conducting the odd experiment by
candlelight with Armitage Shanks and Vitreous China in the wee hours of the
morning following the show. Find
out more about her by visiting her agent's website,
www.frontlineactors.com
Stephen Faloon
Stephen began his career in acting by
playing the front half of a camel in an amateur production of "Joseph and the
Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat" (well, at least he wasn't at the back end).
From these illustrious beginnnings, he then went on to have a 'blink and you
most certainly will miss him' (and there's alot to miss) in Blood Brothers, The
Ugly Duckling and The Bespoke Overcoat. Deciding that the world of thespianism
was too much for him, Stephen pursued a career in business management where he
proved shockingly inept. As a result of his ineptness, he has now returned to
his second home (a tent), the stage, and has performed as a comedian with Comedy
Sportz as well as doing the odd (very) stand-up performance. Stephen is
available for any kind of work going, and is open-minded about the payment
options, e.g. love, food or alcohol. He sill can't believe his good fortune that
he gets to perform with The Craic Pack at
Improv@Bankers every
Friday night.
Sean McNally
Sean
had just graduated with a Diploma in Speech and Drama from DIT, when he decided
to go in to the Bankers pub for a
quick pint to celebrate his recent academic success. The Craic Pack, noticing poor, innocent
Sean, clad in his ceremonial robes and complete with diploma kidnapped him!!
They held him upside down over a bear pit for several days, poked him with
pointy things and called him various names that we wasn't baptised with until he
finally agreed to do a show with the crazy loons!! On rare occasions (like his birthday) when
The
Bankers let him out of the vault, Sean has participated in numerous plays and
operas, most notably as Scailpin in Suzzannas Secret for the National Concert
Hall. He has been seen cycling his 1920's bike on Sandymount beach for RTE and
has done countless numbers of student movies, which will, most likely come back
to haunt him.
